Wissahickon Somatic Therapy
The Wissahickon Somatic Therapy Group shares a belief that the body is an abundant source of wisdom, guidance, and healing. Foundationally, our practitioners understand that touch brings us home to ourselves and helps to deepen and expand our understanding of who we are and guide us to our most authentic path. Our sessions bring you into dialogue with your body in its own primal language, at its own pace and timing, with a devotion to safety.

Our Practitioners...

Canace O'Hara
CST L1
As someone who has benefited greatly from Transformative Touch Sessions, it is a DREAM to become a practitioner and walk with people on this incredible adventure back to themselves. Our bodies hold our stories from our perspective, we don’t have to convince them of our truth. Because we live in a culture that worships urgency, our bodies are not given the room to share their insight on how we should be moving in order to obtain our goals and to live the fullest, most delicious, vibrant version of lives. The primary goals in our sessions together would be to create a safe, reliable environment to hold your truth, give space to the parts of you that feel overlooked or rushed or misunderstood, to invite you back into a full and intimate relationship with yourself and body, and to do so at your soul's pace and time. Being your body’s friend doesn’t have to be scary! And you don’t have to do it all alone.

CST L1, CCP

I guide and support clients in exploring themselves beneath the surface and beyond the boxes we so often find ourselves in. When we connect with the wisdom of our entire experience, specifically the knowledge held within the body, we’ll find all the answers to help us move with more authenticity and ease physically, mentally, and in the world around us. I’d like to help you nurture the unseen parts of yourself, embrace your evolution, and move more freely in this life. Discovering who we are and learning to love and accept all aspects of ourselves is one of our greatest opportunities in this human experience. I enjoy helping clients see patterns and connect the dots in the interest of finding peace and purpose. I am fascinated by the interweaving of our energetic and physical bodies and how each impact one another...how our bodies and the systems within us mimic nature...and how we as humans have the capacity to rewire and move out of the confines of our boxes to live a full experience and authentic existence.

Our Location ....
38 E Penn Street (Germantown)
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Our studio is located just off Germantown Avenue on the first floor of an 1800's home.
Free street parking is usually available close to our building, the 23 bus stops just up the block, and we are just an 8 minute walk from the Wister train station.
When you follow your GPS you'll find an iron ivy covered fence - look for the Red Bear who will guide you to our entry gate. You'll follow a couple of steps up to a stone pathway that leads to a covered porch where we'll welcome you for your sessions.
